- Always keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
- Always keep the action open and the gun unloaded until you are ready to use it.
Additional Safety rules
- Firearms should be unloaded when not actually in use.
- Don’t rely on your gun’s safety.
- Be sure of your target and what’s beyond it.
- Use proper ammunition.
- If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, handle with care.
- Always wear eye and ear protection when shooting.
- Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before shooting.
- Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the firearm you are using.
Skeet & Trap
Operating
the Trap or Skeet Machines can be very dangerous if you are not properly
trained. DO NOT attempt to operate these
machines without instruction. You can be
trained on the operation of these machines by attending one of the weekly Trap
& Skeet Shoots and getting with the Match Director for the demonstration.
