Vintage/Modern Irons Match
Every 3rd Saturday at 10am
To take place at
600-yard range, HCGC
This match is for military service rifles with iron sights that are broken down into three classes.
Vintage Bolt – K98K, M1903, M1903A3, M91 series, K series Swiss, No 1’s & No 4’s, etc. (Any Bolt Action Service rifle from any country)
Vintage Semi-Auto – M1 Garand, Fn 49, SVT series, G41/43, MAS 49, SKS family, etc. (Any Semi Auto Service rifle 1953 and older)
Modern Auto – AR/AK Family, FAL’s, HK family, M1A’s (Any Semi Auto rifle after 1954 and newer)
The Match will have six stages.
1. The Gauntlet – 6 Steel silhouettes 100 to 350 yards (Single Load)
2. Long Range – 5 Steel silhouettes 400 to 550 yards (Single Load)
3. Rapid Fire – 4 steel silhouettes 200-400 yards (Mag Capacity)
4. Know Your Limits – 5 steel swingers that get smaller 100 to 200 yards (Single Load)
5. Mystery Event

The match will be shot in the prone with a front rest allowed. The Mystery Event can be shot standing, prone or sitting/knelling.
The match is an individual event but shot as a pair. Each lane will have two paired shooters. Each stage Shooter 1 will shoot while Shooter 2 spots and scores, then vice versa.
Break between the Long Range and Rapid Fire for lunch provided by the HCGC. The goal is to finish firing by 2:00 pm.
